Most drivers want a car that's nice to look at, but the real importance often lies on the inside - of the vehicle, that is. The interior of an automobile is quickly becoming one of the biggest factors potential buyers are considering when shopping around, so WardsAuto released its list of the 10 Best Interiors found in vehicles.
The winners crossed a range of different styles and car sizes. Some of the recognized autos were luxury vehicles, such as the Acura RDX, Cadillac XTS and Lexus GS 450h, while others, like the Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and Toyota Avalon, were more common cars.
"This year's batch of winners really drives home the point that auto interiors are vital in the battle for consumers' hearts and minds," said Drew Winter, WardsAuto editor-in-chief. "It wasn't uncommon all that long ago for automakers to view interiors as the best place to take cost out of a vehicle program. They eventually figured out that's a big mistake, because people spend a lot more time looking at the inside of their car than the outside."
While having a comfortable and stylish interior is important to drivers, part of that comfort comes from the car air conditioning service and other features, which should be in working condition before hitting the road.
