Survey: Women still find car buying experience a hassle

While car dealers are increasingly trying to make the buying process easier, it seems as though not everyone is convinced. According to a recent poll from CarMax, women still find car buying to be a hassle.

More than 5,000 women were asked what they felt was missing when purchasing a vehicle. The highest response with 26 percent was a quick, effortless transaction. CarMax created the survey in an effort to hone in on the problems facing female car buyers and offer them tips about streamlining the process.

"Women have busy, demanding lives. The CarMax experience was designed to save time even when making a purchase as important as your next vehicle," says Donna Wassel, Southwest regional vice president of CarMax. "Because our process is transparent, easy and fast we take the hassle out of buying a car."

Of course, women who are dissuaded from purchasing a new car may want to keep up on auto maintenance such as tire rotation and radiator service in an effort to keep their beloved vehicle running longer.
