The Super Bowl is a major event in American culture, and this year will see the New England Patriots take on the New York Giants. The Boston-New York rivalry extends to just about everything, and one reason is the differing cultures between these two areas. The automotive research site looked at the cars that sold disproportionately higher in the two regions, and found some interesting differences. New Englanders tend to prefer SUVs, as models like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Outback and Volvo XC70 all had much higher sales there than in the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, New Yorkers liked a mixture of luxury vehicles and affordability. The low-priced Suzuki SX4 was a top-seller, but luxury models like the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Acura RDX also racked up big numbers.
