General Motors made a mistake when it unveiled a complete image of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, reports MotorTrend.
Of course, for car lovers and auto journalists, this was a very welcome mistake. The official début was supposed to take place at the Shanghai Motor Show on April 18th. While the photo was subsequently taken down from the GM website, the news source has displayed it in the article.
"What the image reveals is a smart, smoother nose than on the current Malibu, with lines and curves inspired by new Chevrolet vehicles like the Cruze and Equinox," states MotorTrend. "The car wears chrome accent trim, large wheels, and a hood bearing muscular strake lines."
According to the auto experts, earlier images teased a square trunk, with tailights similar to that of the Camaro. There are also rumors that the interior will have a redesigned dashboard, with a flip-out entertainment system that's got touchscreen technologies.
Under the hood is reportedly a four-cylinder engines and a six-speed transmission. More details will likely be revealed when the car debuts at the Shanghai Motor Show next week, but the car is expected to be on the market by March 2012.
