After 10 years of success with the Mazda3, the automaker responsible for the vehicle is ready to unveil an all-new model for the upcoming year. The car has been continuously produced since it was first revealed in June 2003 in Japan, garnering more than 136 international awards and becoming one of the world's top sellers.
"The Mazda3 has been a huge success for us and is clearly a cornerstone of our model range," said Jeff Guyton, president of Mazda Motor Europe. "We've always aimed to exceed customer expectations with the Mazda3, and plan to continue raising the bar in the ultra-competitive C segment. Here's to another exciting decade."
According to USA Today, the Mazda3 is the brand's biggest seller in the U.S., and if the preliminary pictures are any indication, the 2014 version will be just as popular. Some key differences include a change in how the pedals are aligned, which should improve safety and comfort, as well as a pop-up display panel for directions, controls and more.
Drivers may also be drawn to some of the safety updates, which create a more protective environment for passengers. These improved features may also help reduce the need for auto repair or vehicle maintenance down the line, lowering the long-term costs of ownership.
