There is a lot of work, planning and research that goes into purchasing a new car, and the way a dealer handles that process can have a major impact on the driver. That is why J.D. Power puts together the annual Sales Satisfaction Index. The survey compiles a list of the best automakers for customer satisfaction, and the English brand Jaguar took the top spot in 2013 for the luxury segment.
Jaguar finished one point ahead of Porsche for the No. 1 ranking. The high finish for Jaguar is a testament to its dedication to drivers, as well as its special services for prospective buyers. Manufacturers were ranked based on how well they sold they brand, the individual vehicle and the dealership services offered, such as vehicle maintenance.
"This accolade demonstrates that our retailers continue to exceed customer expectations and are dedicated to delivering a great experience from the very beginning of the relationship," said Jeff Curry, brand vice president of Jaguar North America. "We know buyers first choose a brand when they fall in love with the car, and that they stay with the brand when they also fall in love with the process."
Rounding out the top five behind Jaguar and Porsche were Lexus, Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz.
