In the world of automobiles, more power means more money, and most likely, more maintenance, but each year has brought with it a better and cleaner V6 engine that offers excellent performance with an even better value, reports MSN Auto.
With the V8 considered to be the prime rib of engines nowadays, V6s are often left by the wayside.
It's an unfortunate fact, however, as "opting for the 6-cylinder variant of any given model can most likely deliver the same visceral, fun-to-drive feel as its comparable V8 variant," wrote the news source. "The difference [is that] six-cylinder engines typically cost less and get better fuel economy."
So without further ado, here are 10 cars that can now crack 300 horsepower, despite their V6 engine.
For sedans, MSN says the Lexus GS 350, the Cadillac CTS, BMW's 525i, the Infiniti M37 and the Hyundai Genesis 3.8 all take the cake for high-powered engines at a budget price.
Sportier vehicles include the Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger SE, while one truck made the list - the Toyota Tundra. In addition, the Infiniti FX35 is the only SUV to make the cut, just barely, with 303 horsepower.
