Need a car that you can depend on? Then you may want to consider a Honda vehicle. According to a recent survey of car owners, the automaker is among the most consistent in the world, offering an array of qualities that responsible drivers will want to consider.
The annual poll, titled "What Car? and Warranty Direct Reliability Survey," asked more than 50,000 people what they thought of their vehicles. Once all of the results were in, Honda topped the list of dependable automakers - making it the eighth straight year it has been ranked No. 1.
"Success in reliability studies further proves the dedication, skill and passion of our engineers, associates and dealer network," said Phil Crossman, a managing director of Honda. "We are incredibly proud to be the most reliable manufacturer in the industry - yet again."
Honda's success is attributed to its thorough production processes, which result in automobiles that have low average costs of auto repair as well as few vehicle maintenance problems. Several individual models stood out in the survey as well, with the Civic and Accord both scoring well within their respective classes.
