Wouldn't it be nice to be able to enjoy driving around in a car without all of the worry about things like gas mileage, insurance or scheduled maintenance? While this may be a pipe dream for most adults, kids everywhere get to do just that with the toy models of some of the industry's top cars. The Ford Raptor leads the pack in this regard, being one of the top sellers in everything from Hot Wheels to remote-controlled versions to larger models kids can ride themselves.
According to USA Today, sales of the Raptor have increased by 40 percent this year, and October and November were the two top sales months in the history of the product. Companies all around the world include the Raptor in their offerings, and the number of licenses issued to include the car in different toys is tops on the market.
"We knew we had a winner on our hands when we first introduced Raptor to the toy and video game companies three years ago," said Mark Bentley, Ford's licensing manager. "Licensing executives from all the top brands immediately understood Raptor's potential and moved quickly to sign agreements … They have not regretted that decision."
