The Ford Mustang has been among the most sought-after sports cars since its introduction 50 years ago. While not many drivers have the chance to get behind the wheel of one of these vehicles, they do enjoy looking at them, and the public can do just that thanks to an upcoming film.
"Need for Speed," an action movie debuting March 14, will showcase the all-new Ford Mustang before the automobile hits the market in the fall. The film, which stars actor Aaron Paul, will feature a number of impressive sports cars, but the Ford Mustang is set to steal the show.
"On screen or on the road, the visceral sight and sound of Mustang has been inspiring fans for nearly five decades," said Jim Farley, an executive vice president at Ford. "The feeling of optimism and being in control that Mustang's world-class power and performance provide is a perfect match for Aaron Paul's character in 'Need for Speed.'"
Ford has already released a short clip of the Mustang's big-screen appearance, but not much else is known about the vehicle. Although "Need for Speed" may provide a glimpse into how the sports car performs, future drivers will have to wait a bit longer to learn the details regarding the scheduled maintenance, fuel efficiency, safety features and technological upgrades included on this machine.
