Many drivers are drawn to used cars in an effort to find a reliable vehicle without emptying their wallets. To help prospective owners navigate these difficult times, Kelley Blue Book selected the 10 best used cars under $8,000 by finding cars that had just the right mix of style and reliability.
The newest model that landed on the list is the 2011 Hyundai Accent, which has a history of solid customer ratings. Most, if not all, of the vehicles should still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty as well, making vehicle maintenance a breeze.
Other somewhat recent options include the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck and the 2005 Volvo S60, both of which have an average price tag in the $7,000-range. If compact cars are more in line with a driver's wants, then the 2003 Acura TL or 2004 Honda Odyssey are solid choices that can be had for about $6,800.
According to Auto Remarketing, the prices of many used vehicles may be dropping the near future. The number of preowned cars is expected to be on the rise, especially as more people start purchasing brand new automobiles and the industry continues to grow.
