Anyone who has ever wondered how letters are delivered to the North Pole won't have to ponder the thought for much longer. A convoy of MINI vehicles will be embarking on a road trip to the Arctic Circle in order to bring Santa Claus bundles of letters written by people from all over the world.
In collecting letters for Old Saint Nick, Mini will also be attempting to land in a Guinness World Record for the longest wish list to Santa. To achieve this, the automaker will be receiving help from fans in more than 16 countries, including the U.S., Russia, Singapore, Italy, Germany and the U.K. Once the wish list has been compiled, the group of Mini vehicles will leave from BMW headquarters in Munich for Rovaniemi, which is located in the Arctic Circle.
The stunt is set to bring attention to several new Mini models, including the 2013 Paceman, Clubman and Countryman, Inside Line reports. Each of the vehicles will drive more than 3000 kilometers (1,800 miles) toward the colder territory, making use of the Mini's many special features - although probably not the auto air conditioning service.
The march north will begin on November 24.
