Many vehicles increase in value simply due to who they belonged to, and a recent 1972 Dodge Sportsman van that went up for sale on eBay is a prime example.
The vehicle doesn't look like much from the outside, and is covered in graffiti. However, the asking price for the car is currently $100,000, mainly because it was once owned by famous grunge singer Kurt Cobain.
Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, reportedly did much of the graffiti himself, according to Autoblog. A sketch of the four members of the rock group KISS made with a Sharpie marker is featured prominently on one side of the van.
The seller listed the van under eBay's "fine art" section rather than as a vehicle, because it's more likely to be used as a showpiece than a functioning car. Nirvana did use the van for touring purposes, and Cobain is said to have personally driven it up until the year of his death in 1994.
If you have an older vehicle, auto maintenance is the key to keeping it on the road for a long time. Services like oil changes and radiator flush & fills can keep a car running right.
