They might be less common than other vehicles on the market, but Volvo and Lotus each issued recalls this past weekend for their vehicles.
The Volvo recall accounts for nearly 20,000 vehicles, including 7,000 C70 convertibles from 2006-2012 and more than 12,000 S60 sedans from 2011-2012. According to the company, the issue has to do with the instructions and information printed on the spare tires included with the vehicles.
When drivers go to perform a tire replacement, they could potentially inflate the tires incorrectly due to the faulty information, which increases the risk of a crash, reports USA Today.
As for Louts, more than 5,000 Elise and Exige models from 2005 and 2006 are being recalled due to an issue with the oil cooler lines. These lines could detach, according to the company, and spray oil into places where it is not supposed to go, potentially causing an engine fire.
One way to stay on top of potential issues with your car is to take it in to a certified auto maintenance expert, who can perform vehicle inspections and run diagnostics that will detect any potential problems.
