Automotive analysts at TrueCar predict that Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, will offer the largest incentives of the year so far for drivers, with some models discounted over 20 percent.
The firm says that Black Friday will be the best day of the year so far to buy a car, as many manufacturers are offering incentives and rebates. Models like the Mitsubishi Endeavor, Chrysler 200, Ford Escape, Nissan Maxima and Chevrolet Silverado are offering particularly good deals. While Black Friday will be the statistically best day to buy, the savings will hold at over eight percent through the entire weekend.
"Dealerships offer significant discounts on Black Friday, which can save consumers thousands off the purchase of a new vehicle," said Jesse Toprak, vice president of industry trends for TrueCar. "It's an atypical day to purchase a car since consumers think of retail shopping, but buying a new vehicle on Black Friday can often lead to big savings."
Drivers look primed to save some serious cash on Black Friday. One way to save money year-round is by investing in auto maintenance. Simple things like oil changes and tune-ups can help you avoid more costly car repairs, which benefits drivers in the long run.
