The 2011 Buick Regal is out now and it's the perfect car for a new buyer or a relatively young driver, despite its relatively unfavorable reviews, reports MSN Autos.
General Motors appears to be reaching towards a generation that believes luxury is key by creating a sedan that feels European.
While the suspension is balanced and the driving is well-controlled, there "isn't really any standout reason to consider it over the proven competition," says Perry Stern, an MSN critic. According to him, the ride is still stiff and the engine appears to be working too hard.
Paul Hagger, another critic, says that Buick made a valiant effort to improve their stylish sedan, but didn't do enough. For example, the controls are still in funky places - the gear lever doesn't line up with the actual stick and the side mirrors are difficult to reflect at appropriate angles.
While Hagger and Stern agree that the exterior isn't well-designed, the other critic, Mike Meredith disagrees. "The exterior design is crisp and clean" adding that the interior is nice too, with a "luxury feel" thanks to heated seats made of leather.
